Born in the mountains of Austria, Bernd looks back at a wide range of international experience - from Canada, UK, Spain, United Arab Emirates to the United States. He has become a true industry leader and played a key role shaping the hospitality arena in California’s bay area. Bernd’s experience has supported him through an array of career achievements including his sommelier certification, rebranding the infamous Langham Hilton, London, leading sales in Langham Hotels, owning and operating a restaurant in Spain, and growing sales for Leading Hotels of the World in Europe.

  

Bernd thrives on complex challenges and turns them into successful and profitable results. As a Cornell Asset Management graduate, he served as the Project Manager for several restaurant, room, and hotel renovations. Bernd recently curated the cocktail & wine program at Santé restaurant in Sonoma Valley, and sits on several tourism and hospitality boards as advisor and strategist.  Bernd’s proven track record, approachable personality, and hands-on approach to innovation makes him a core contributor to Salted's success.
